Wow, great song. How's the flip, just as good?

Looked and looked, but couldn't find much on this one. Nu Star shows as a subsidiary of the Allstar record label. I couldn't find anything about Oda. Anybody know anything else?

Only thing I could find was an Oda Mills had a single, "Frame and a Picture" b/w "This Kiss Must Last Forever" on Kippo Records (Kippo 1022).

What do you know about the Kippo label? I've got Jimmy Case releasing a couple of sides on the label in 1963 that, according to his website, were recorded in Washington DC, was it from that area?

That Oda M single is the only evidence I can find of it on the whole internet.

Here's what I found... In the July 20th 1963 edition of Billboard pg. 17 it's mentioned that Tom Reeder of Tom Cat Publishing owned by Tom "Cat" Reeder (http://www.crb.org/hof/inductee.php?wid=89&orderNum=30) Jimmy Case's "I'll Fall in Love with You" was on Kippo records and available as a sample if you wrote in for it on your station letterhead. The Jimmy Case album "Jimmy Case Sings Country" on Aaron records mentions that those two cuts were recorded in Washignton DC in 1963(http://www.aaronmusicshop.com/jimmycasecollection.html) I'm guessing that the Kippo label was from that area as was Oda. I think Tom Reeder is still alive as is Jimmy Casse so I'll try to get in touch with them and find out what they know.

I think I have a Jimmy case single as well. I'll dig through the archives and post it if I do.

Heard back form Tom "Cat" Reeder. Kippo was a sister label to Kash records. Both labels were formed in the early 60's when Tom and His partner Clyde Beavers lived in Nashville. I'll Call Tom and get more info. Maybe he knows something about Oda

Just talked to Tom, he's got a great bluegrass and country show on http://bluegrasscountry.org/. He said that Kippo was formed as a second label to put more mediocre artists on. He said neither label made him any money and he questioned how many Kippo records he actually sold. He didn't remember anything abut Oda who I guess will remain a mystery for the time being.

The KIPPO label was originally named KIP but changed it to KIPPO after a couple releases. Not really sure when though.

#1002 has the name KIP on the label and #1006 uses the name KIPPO
