Ray hit #8 with "The Picture" in 1960 on Savoy. #20 with "Better Times A Comin'" on Sims in 1962. That is the sum total of all his hits. Columbia must have liked the commercial idea of this anti-anti war song.
I recall a couple of the earlier postings show that country music folk could oppose the war too.
