Great looking label, I wonder how James Whiting ever came up with the design. A bit more about Capa's owner...

Dr James A Whiting who owned the label was a surgeon who practiced in Mobile from 1955 - 1984 "He was songwriter and pianist, and the founder and president of CAPA Records, Audiomaster Recording Studios, Medico Music and Law Publishing Co. Several releases ranked in the Top 40 Cashbox hitlist, both country and pop, and were Top 10 in international markets, his children said. As recently as 1997, his music was being licensed for television commercial use when one of his records was used in a commercial for the Oregon Lottery, said his daughter, Sharrilyn Ann Whiting of Chestnut Hill, Mass. "It was just the coolest thing," she said, recalling how happy it made her father that someone actuualy tracked him down to get permission to use some of his old music. "He was still writing music as recently as early this year." She even recalled an incident some years ago when rock star Alice Cooper stopped by her father's studio to do some work while he was in town for a concert. Whiting found his music just as satisfying as medicine, she said." ( obituary Mobile Register newspaper (4/29/2000).

Thanks for the post.

I found the K-W single about a year ago in a 25 cent bin. It's an amazing hillbilly murder/suicide ballad.
