Our Friend Mr. K introduced this record to me a few years back. I finally found a copy a couple of months ago.
Note the odd mistake, I think, of him singing, "so loved was this man through all out the world" instead of "throughout all the world".
You're right JT Cornpone! But the whole concept of a country song about ol' Rudy seems odd to begin with!
Yes, Freddie was a few decades late with this. What a great singer though. I was listening to a Pickwick compilation of his this weekend. And an LP on Vocalion. Lots of goodies.
