Pretty good "faux Hank" rendition. Thank you.

It's well known how so many singers patterned their accents, etc., after Hank Williams. What puzzles me is why so many current so-called country singers, both men and women, seem to copy the mush-mouthed Oklahoma accent of Reba McEntire -- whom I like, and I think her accent is legit, but why do Tim McGraw and the woman in Sugarland and a zillion others -- who talk without the accent -- think they need to SING with the phony accent?

Well, time to take a deep breath. I think I'll just be anonymous this time.

Country music pretty much died sometime after Ronnie Misap or before country music's favorite rock n roll group Alabama came along. Most of the singers since the mid eighties point of reference is milk comes in a carton and eggs from the dairy section.

It had a breif resurgence in the late 80's...then Garth came along and killed it once and for all.
